Mandatory Milwaukee: Oscar’s Pub & Grill is a beacon of local burgers
The bar and restaurant wears a lot of different hats, and wears each of them incredibly well.
In addition to being a solid craft beer destination, a low-key sports bar (complete with Brewers shuttle), a fish fry hot spot, home to a cozy rear patio, and a trusted place for diners who are looking to maximize their food value or indulge in some mystery beverages, Oscar’s is arguably home to the best burger in the city. If “The Big O” isn’t the finest cheeseburger in Milwaukee, it’s at least a prominent part of the conversation.
Please note that this a change of venue from the previously announced location at St. Francis Brewery, which closed unexpectedly last month. We were fortunate to find an-other place, without changing any of the details. Members should have received a notice of the change by phone and/or email.
Wonderland offers incredible homemade fare in a rustic-city artistic atmosphere. Our comfort food menu tempts you with scratch-made buttermilk biscuits, pancakes, waffles, pies and desserts. We make all our own gravies, sauces, salad dressings, mustard, jams, & pickled vegetables. Our pork, beef, chicken and salmon are always fresh, locally sourced and never frozen. We also make the chorizo, soy chorizo, sausage blends, meatloaf and vegan-loaf in house. Our sandwiches and entrees use roasted turkeys & corned beef made daily in our ovens.
we will explore WONDERLAND in Riverwest, adjacent to Art*Bar. Cock-tails at Art*Bar at 6:30, with dinner at 7:00pm.Following the tour, members may lunch in MAM’s Café Calatrava.
